its understandable that gm is following the market trends towards the fuel-economy thing...but they need to seriously consider dropping/consolidating some of their divisions, which "supposedly" are supposed to have their own distinctive brands. Pontiac is supposed to be their "Excitement" division....so what happens to the Excitement division once you stop making exciting cars and you start rebranding econobox Aveos? Either keep the excitement there with 1 or 2 models, or simply drop the Division entirely.
