no offense to the qualified women... but honestly who in their right mind who hand over this car to their wife or girlfriend? like are both of your legs broken or something?
  • Dragon (guest) wrote on May 6, 1:48 pm:
Nice show. Alex you're right the hand position of Derek D is bad... maybe he trained this position in a cobalt?^^
Just worse is that the Porsche had an automatic gearbox...
Man Derek can't you drive stick???
And @ pilotgbaker: I would lend my turbo to my girlfriend if I had a Ferrari 599 GTB ;-)

Alex is starting to grow on me, especially after that hand position comment. He has a classic first DE death grip on the wheel, DD needs to loosen up, but hey its his first time in super car and being on the track so I think he is doing pretty damn good.

Keep up the good work FLD.
  • mrwheeler wrote on May 6, 2:23 pm:
Agreed, lets get Alex in a super car.
  • Galen (guest) wrote on May 6, 2:31 pm:
I agree with DD, its hard to weigh the pros and cons between the 911 and the cobalt...

BUT, at 130, the cobalt will let you "not live"...so I guess its the 911
  • jimma wrote on May 6, 2:32 pm:
other "backseat" supercar drivers (like myself) might disagree, but I'm really enjoying these track segments. It's nice to see a regular dude tool around in these exotics, rather than the typical "know it all" expert driver types that so many other shows have, blabbing on about hp numbers and ring times.. The best part was how the driving instructor was so calm and cool, while Derek D is sort of holding his chunks back.. hehe. can't blame him, my lunch would prob be out the window getting sucked into the intake! Seriously, that 911 was REDICULOUSSSSSSSSSS!!!

OT, Alex your dress rocks! its Summer time yay! :)
  • Charioteer wrote on May 6, 2:33 pm:
    Yea...give Alex a supercar....on BikiniDrivingSchool.com

hahaha the asshole in a bmw is usually behind the wheel. so true
  • protrackracing (guest) wrote on May 6, 3:29 pm:
derek d u drive like a girl, an auto 911 never mind dude
  • Nick Thomas (guest) wrote on May 6, 3:49 pm:
umm no offense , but this whole super car life thing , sucks
  • vaderwasframed (guest) wrote on May 6, 3:52 pm:
Poor Derek looks scared stiff. He needs to relax, he's in a supercar! (maybe he saw Eddie Griffin's job he did to an Enzo and it has him pussy footing in some hot cars. What was he doing, like 80mph on that track?)

  • vaderwasframed (guest) wrote on May 6, 3:55 pm:
oh...and Super Agri.....sucks that they are gone, but I don't think anyone will notice. If your an F1 team, and you aren't Ferrari (the Gods!), McLaren or BMW, you pretty much suck. nuff said....
  • ian (guest) wrote on May 6, 4:06 pm:
A few things to keep in mind, the track is limited, you can only go a certain distance on the straightaways, maximizing your speed. The pro drivers weren't going beyond 130 at the fastest. Secondly, the cars are all automatic, there are no manual vehicles, due to the fact that some people who'd try things out don't yet know how to drive stick. Liability and safety are important, so you aren't just allowed to go nuts on your own, it's very precise, planned, and extremely fun.

Don't confuse his "pussying out" with a planned defense for beginners on the track and people crashing.
  • Speed Racer wrote on May 6, 4:30 pm:
    Nice dress, Alex.
  • swinglow33 wrote on May 6, 4:45 pm:
Hmm, does DD know how to drive a stick? Two cars in a row with automatics. But...on the other hand, Porsche says their automatics are actually better than the standard shift.

Hey, you think DD was man enough to turn off the electronic goodies? Like traction and stability control? Try driving my 911 Turbo. It's old, so no electronic goodies...that's old school and that's how I like it. lol

  • Acha (guest) wrote on May 6, 5:01 pm:
Not the 10-2 position on the steering wheel again DD, that's just wrong, wrong, wrong.
As for these videos being better than TopGear, that is like saying you'd rather sleep with Rosie O'Donnell over Heidi Klum, hahaha.
Still, good show. FLD can we please see Alex and Carrie struting their stuff on some supercars :)
  • Mutley wrote on May 6, 7:09 pm:
Why is Derek's Seal Grey 997TT has the Tiptronic ??
  • Marrz wrote on May 6, 9:43 pm:
Seriously, Can FLD's big shot not handle a stick? not really driving a sports car unless it's manual. otherwise it's just bling. someone should teach him (not with my clutch)
  • supramike wrote on May 7, 12:19 am:
LAME i take it DD doesnt drive stick?????
  • Mercator (guest) wrote on May 7, 2:08 am:
Alex, you are gorgeous as usual. Missed a few deliveries though, especially on the Honda F1 team. You are still awesome in my book though.

I get the impression they keep you pretty tightly reined in, since I didn't see or hear a single shift.
  • gaz55max wrote on May 7, 5:27 am:
I want to see the fastladies' get a chance to drive those cool cars as well.
Give them a fair go guys'.
  • lucas521 wrote on May 7, 9:59 am:
Alex you're doing a great job!
  • 4cylmaster (guest) wrote on May 7, 2:03 pm:
dont get me wrong, i DO like derek d, btu someone needs to teach him to drive a stick. seeing him drive an automatic 911 turbo makes him look like the girlfriend or wife we was talking about. oh, and derek, your hands are supposed to be at 10 and 2, not together on the top. oh, and quit it with the gorilla grip, you look like a neanderthal. pretty much, take more driving classes so you dont look like a clown. keep up the non-driving good work!
  • MaYo wrote on May 8, 3:20 pm:
    Hey Alex...lovely dress!
  • Alex (guest) wrote on May 8, 8:17 pm:
    Dear FastLane Daily,
Derek (Da Dawg) Dippity Douchemania D should be fired immediately. His expertise on cars is just short of being born with down syndrome. Besides the fact that he makes the 911 Turbo's interior look like a Hummer H1's. His presence is entirely unwanted by the automotive community. Namely, myself. + every comment on youtube.

I want to stab myself when I hear him talking about driving the Turbo. "This car is just... I tell ya.... RA-DICK-YOO LUSS"

I mean with your award and your professional setup.... green screen, graphics, etc. You couldn't get a better person than Derek Dizzle Dopetastic Dizshizit to talk? I bet the only cars he'd driven before 'SUPERCARLIFE' were under $20,000. Keep the girls talking, get rid of Derek D, and hire a guy who actually knows a SMIDGEN about cars and DRIVING, and you'll be doing a lot better.
