    Corvette kit looks shitty.

    Karma looks cool.

Viper looked best in 94 and got crappier over time.

    FLD is great.

Sorry but the "full monte" vette looks like it's trying too hard to impress everyone into believing it's something special when in fact it is.... "special" enough to ride the short bus becuase it's freakin' RETARDED. C6 ok. C6 ZO6 ok. C6 ZR1 ok. Specter C6 WTF.

  • Frank_is_Rad wrote on February 11, 2:28 pm

I'm fine with the Viper getting discontinued, it was a nice car, but let the old ones leave the legacy...and Derek D my friend, you are a funny mutha F@#ka bro!

  • detroitmuscle wrote on February 11, 3:13 pm

Personally i think dodge should do what gm did for the Camaro. they should kill the viper temporarily and build up some anticipation for an all new viper (hopefully a mid engine). I think this would help not only the viper but help out Chrysler's financial situation as well

  • swinglow33 wrote on February 11, 4:11 pm100 Award

It's just like GM, or any other American car manufacture to add crappy body kits to the more upscale models. STOP THE INSANITY!

The Karma looks sweet. I doubt it will be under 50K. I can't wait until this technology gets more affordable. Well, I guess I'll have to wait, eh?

Whatever happened to the Dodge Venom? Couldn't that replace the Viper? Maybe with a supercharged Hemi?

  • justans10 wrote on February 11, 4:47 pm

Ummmmmm, the Firepower did not have a V10. In fact, it was shown with the 6.1 liter Hemi that we all know and love in Chysler's SRT8 models now. Oh, and it was also debuted in the 2005 NAIAS (i.e., Detroit), not at the 2006 LA Auto Show.

  • fast_human wrote on February 11, 6:49 pm

I do like the Viper, but Chrysler SUCKS!!!! Worst auto manufacturer PERIOD!!!

Not that I don't appreciate the efforts of Derek, but what happened to the hot girls? No more Carrie? Was she too expensive for this show? WTF? How about a different hot girl thats less expensive to hire...This show needs some female charm...Or am I just way off base?

DetroitMuscle - Do what GM did for Camaro & kill it temporarily?! A DECADE is Temp to you? Are you on medication? Life is short. To keep enthusiastic, loyal fans waiting to loose 10 years of their lives is cruel, sadistic, torturous insanity! This was one of the single greatest mistakes GM did to alienate their devoted, loyal F-Body fans. GM, F-Body, Vette, Cadi fans are as loyal as Ferraristi or any others {just not as snobby!} 12 months is long enough to suffer withdrawal but 10 years is alienation. There is a serious disconnect between product & consumer.

I for one will be very sad to see the Viper go. We should all thank the Vip for making the ZR1 as good as it is. Without friendly competition, there is no improvement. # Numbers adding up? For sports cars, they rarely add up. And do you have any idea how much capital is needed to Research & Develop a Mid Engined sports car? Cooling/Heating issues? Safety? Crash Testing? Traction? Stability? Noise/Vibration/Harshness? User friendliness? $ COSTS??? Im not sure Mid-Engined is always the best route to go. The Vette is already Front Mid Engine which suits most drivers > 80-90% of the time. For the 10-15 minutes a year when you have your car racing on the circuit, it might be alright, not the rest of the time.

The next Gen Viper would have been quite a dream machine to counter the ZR1! And now, a moment of silence...

well since chevrolet has a partnership or collaberation with daewoo i aint fukkin with it, ever since the 2 merged the quality for chevrolet worldwide has gone down, the aveo is korean....as for the acura tsx/honda euro big improvement on styling, hope that improvement is also felt under the hood, ahh KARMA an ecosystems dream come true...cant wait for the production version, because the current fiskers look like redesigned bmw 6 series coupes, and I heard fisker might be moving 2 rock city(detroit) to build these babies, Hmmmm Dodge Viper.,...Past its prime, and yet dies honourably to bring forth the dodge challenger, We will see a revival of the viper in a 10+ years...

That vette kit is not so cool, a vette ricer! ttyl viper, i still say you stole your styling from TVR. and fisker, wow what a huge hood, but hot looking

Corvette GTR huh???? well so far it looks mean and thats great. wanna c one in person tho, sometimes these things look betta on paper than in real life.

  • shelmut85 wrote on February 12, 8:42 am

"Just like GM or any other American car manufacturer?" GM has nothing to do with this body kit. I don't like it either, but give the manufacturer a break. And the "American" comment--have you ever heard of AMG, M, or GTI? I don't hear you moaning about them.
