Another great ep. Who wants to drive a sports car across the country though?? I'll take a caddy across country over those cars any day of the week.

oh man i was expecting Geigerspeed ! LOL

Derek, let me know what to do about Geiger, I can have things "taken care of" if ya know what I mean goombah !

good show today, like usual. ya know what, I'm waiting for you to have a really bad show, where everyone says, "what the f*ck, did I just watch." LOL

  • JMaize wrote on October 24, 1:48 pm:
FLD will never have a bad show! Right guys?

And yesterday with Ittai was great; you should have more fans guest host!

Derek D gotta get a new "fresh" act...it's getting old.

I loved the BMW 2002's from the past. I'd rather see a beefed up twin turbo from the I35 rather than the single turbo 2.0. But then...that would probably be like the M series. Hmmm, M1. That project didn't fly very well in the past for BMW.

As for the Civic Type-R diesel. I really don't see this car coming to our shores. Selfish b-tards! Whoring the cool stuff for themselves. I'd hate to buy a VW Jetta diesel just because Honda won't ship these Civics here.

Good report on the BMW. I was hoping for some more comedy.

Yippeeeee!!! another under powered BMW. Talk about a numb-spongey ride in the 3 and 7-series  I vote this to be the car people buy their teenage daughters more than any other for the next few years.

No way the GTR should be the car of choice, only dreaming fanbois could pick a car that has not proven any of its numbers and nobody in the public has driven yet. Out of the Vette, Pcar and as-yet-to-materialize GTR, the Pcar is the least uncomfortable choice. You won't go deaf from the drone of the motor, have some space to recline the seat for those long stretches and well, it probably is the best in wet conditions.

The BMW m1 was a funny car :D but this show is even greater then the new skyline. NO! im just kidding!
  • Nick Holla wrote on October 24, 5:17 pm:
    @Tim aka TestShoot

Underpowered? I think it will be perfectly balanced. Anything bigger than a 4-banger would make it nose heavy in a car that size. Turbo-charged four banger sounds like the proper way to power this coupe. I'm a V8 fan myself, but even I know when not to drop in a big engine.

    Derek Wee, you rock!
  • Mercator wrote on October 24, 5:20 pm:
Gonna disagree with the fanboy comment about the GTR. If, given the choice of ONLY those three cars, I would choose the GTR because there is a hope it wouldn't be an uncomfortable ride across the country. The other two are known quantities to me, and they are known to be hard on the back. At least there is a hope the GTR wouldn't be too uncomfortable. Even if it rode like an STI or Evo it wouldn't be as harsh as a 911T or a Vette. My first Nissan/Datsun product was a '76 280Z, and it was the sports car of its day and it was a pretty decent ride. I've driven a few Nissan sportscars since, and I am confident it wouldn't be as uncomfortable as a Vette or Porsche, and probably would survive better mechanically.

Hey loneshark....didn't you get a tshirt?
  • swinglow33 wrote on October 24, 6:04 pm:

I'm wouldn't be surprised if we never see that Civic. With all the Japanese haters in this country, I wouldn't bring it here either if I was running Honda.
  • fuerte wrote on October 24, 8:54 pm:
    Right after THIS
    ahaha.
  • supramike wrote on October 24, 11:36 pm:
Another Civic Type-R huh??? yet another high rev'n budget tunner from honda that we prob wont get in the us, yay how fun!! and the Tii is cute, i think thats gonna be the problem with that one, at least for me, maybe a different paint skim and a different body kit would help to make it a lil tougher
  • supramike wrote on October 24, 11:40 pm:
oh and did i miss the winner of the last contest????
  • nealer wrote on October 25, 8:50 am:

Wasn't Derke Wee wearing a little too much man-makeup today ... easy on the man-scarah little fella.

As a loyal BMW fan I have to say that the 1-series coupe has an ugly ass ...

Why does eveyone think that GTR is soo good ... you can stick a rocket on Derek Wee's back and give him rollerskates to make him fast - but its still him underneath .. get what I'm saying - yeah yeah GTR is a fast car (probably), handles well (probably)... but its baby sister is a pink Micra CC ...

    http://www.channel4.com/4car/media/N/nissan/micra/02-medium/06-nissan-micra-cc-pink.jpg

maybe I'm being a brand snob - but what the hell I own two BMWs and don't wear manscarah.

hey guys, Derek D here...in response to "nealer" right above, i dont have any make up on brotha, it's all lighting, for real...
  • Carl Hungus wrote on October 25, 5:19 pm:
I couldn't agree more with Ken (top comment). I drove from Portland Oregon to Tampa Bay Florida 3 times in one year in a 2005 1.8 audi A4 so I'm coming from experience when I say that I'd recommend doing it in either a CTS-V or a Quattroporte. Speed plus comfort is the only way to do it!
