How can you even compared McLaren F1 to a Bugatti? My $.02: 350hp difference + 10 years of technology + full tractable, reliable car = winning formula.

aight guys now this is very simple, here r the stats for both rides:

All in all i think its clear that the bugatti Veyron is a much better car, and it would spank that shit out of the F1, in a top speed race, and depening on the track and the driver i would bet everything on the Veyron to win. { someone might be asking y the clause??? { depening on the driver and track} i said that because i dont know for sure how the veyron handles, i do howeva know that with the veyron having better acceleration and top speed than the F1, whateva it may lack in connering, it would more than make up for on the straight. The only thing i'm not a big fan of and the only thing i'd change about that car would be to make it a stick shift {manual} theres no better feeling of mastership and control of a car than if it has a manual transmission....... the way i c it ur not really a driver or a racer if u cant drive a stick, i mean even a lil kid can drive an automatic, so all that tiptronic, slip stick, paddle shift or semimanual stuff needs to stop, at least for sports cars and super cars, or like Porsche and others have 2 versions, one for the pussies that cant drive, and one for the real drivers........by the way i'm only 18 but i've been driving since my dad taught me when i was 13. if anyone has anything to say of ask get at me {myspace.com/twinturbomike} the name's mike.

Great comparison Supramike- nice to see each car broken down by the numbers.. I'm very impressed that you understand the breakdown and importance of the horsepower to rate ration, as opposed to just to horsepower and 0-60 times. There's alot more that goes into the general equation of "fastest car" than most think..

As for the C6 ZO6; I can personally attest to it being one helluva monster car. Dollar for dollar, there's no better performance car in the world. I've seen it trounce (in a straight line) Ferrari F430's, Lamborghini Gallardos, Porsche 996TT's, etc..

Do you have a Supra by any chance? If so, what year? Favorite car? Would you take a single or twin turbo?

@billy: Trounce a Gallardo... to 100mph. Over 130 it's all Gallardo. Over 150, the F430 takes the G. :-)

Veyron would beat F1 in any race, people don't understand that F1 is very hard car to drive and very unstable at high speed, and not just that Veyron despite his big weight have a better brakes which means it's faster in acceleratin AND deaccelerating also. With AWD system it's clearly faster out of the corner too.
Infact Gordon Murray(the father of McLaren F1) siad that if you wanna show your friend how good Veyron is you should give them a ride on a race track not street, he was stunned how precise and overall fast Veyron is on a race track, so it's safe to say that Veyron is faster the McLaren on track, and with all the electronics Veyron if fool-proof which means no miss-shifts, wheels spins or wheel locking while braking, where McLaren F1 has now ABS, TC nor power steering or even power brakes!!

yes sir {billy} sorry i didnt get at u sooner, hopefully u still read this, i have a six speed 98 twin turbo supra, pushing about 570 hp right now and more to come, lol, had to since i was 13, i love my baby, havent eva crashed, and i drive it hard and fast on the daily, cant help it i'm a speed freak, lol. fav. car of all time, well thats hard, lol, when it comes to old muscle cars it would have to be between the 1967 Camaro SS and the newly rebuilt pre- order production version of the 1967 Mustang Shelby GT 500E a.k.a Eleanor Gone In 60 Sec. car. when it comes todays muscle i'd have to say the 09 dodge challenger looks like something i'd be into for a long time that and the 09 camaro's too....... def. a big fan of the z06's and the new GT500, ford GT GX1, imports, now of course the supra, skyline, and i'm a big evo lover as well, lol, we wont get into super cars or exotics, lol cuz thats an even longer list, lol, how about urself??? gt at me

the bugatti is way faster in a straight but the mclaren f1 is most likley far faster in the corners but the better ? is wat is faster a mclaren or a konigsegg
